Directorate of Public Relations
Strategy
The Directorate of Public Relations contributes in implementing the media policies that are set by the Ministry of Culture and Information within the guidelines of the Ministry's officials and through the tasks assigned to it in various disciplines related to its field of specialization. The Directorate is considered the official communication channel between the Ministry and the Government and public sectors bodies and also the media. It promotes communication and dealings with the public opinion.
Programs and Implementing Plan
1- Creation, building and supporting effective communication, mutual understanding and co-operation between the Ministry, public opinion and media in Co-ordination with the other sectors of the Ministry .
2- Providing the public opinion, through appropriate means of media, with meaningful facts, opinions and interpretations that ensure that the public opinion is aware and have access to the media, cultural and tourist policies.
3- Planning and management of media and informative programs and events that are designed to attain the media objectives of the Ministry.
4- in facilitating the hosting and entry formalities of media and press delegations to the Kingdom of Bahrain, to enable them to provide media coverage that promote the Kingdom of Bahrain on international level. Also, to provide facilities to TV and camera teams while they are in the Kingdom.
5- Provide general information about the Ministry, Kingdom and political leadership and distribute them to those interested from Government and public sectors bodies and media and to update such information in regular basis.
6- Enhance the role of the Ministry in the field of organizing national events and festivals throughout the year . Also, to provide financial and administrative support to the various organizers of events and festivals and encourage and motivate them to continue doing so.
